Since this is a hamburger salad, it doesn’t require any cheese. If you are a cheese lover and want a little cheese, (or, a lot) then feel free to add any type of cheese you like! I recommend that you use shredded cheese however so that it can disperse evenly throughout the salad.

This is a low-carb recipe. So, if you’re watching your carb intake, you can certainly eat plenty of this salad. If you feel like you need some added carbs, feel free to put some croutons in the salad or pair it with a slice of bread. Also, be sure to use fresh ingredients when you make this Hamburger Salad. I use fresh tomato, fresh lettuce, and fresh onion.

Also, the salad dressing is optional. You can make the Burger Dressing listed, or, you can use Thousand Island dressing. I like Thousand Island dressing because it reminds me of a scrumptious burger sauce. Thousand Island pairs wonderfully with this salad.
