Have you ever had Avocado Toast? When I first heard about avocado toast a few years back, I was kind of turned off by the idea of avocado being spread on toast. I decided to embark on the journey anyway and began making this quite a bit for my family. They loved it and always want me to make it for them now! Avocado toast is now on the breakfast table quite often for my family members, and they’re not upset about it at all.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice slice of thick-cut bread

  • 1/2 ripe avocado

  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning

  • Optional toppings: olive oil, radish, onions, etc.

Directions

  • Toast the slice of bread until golden to your liking.
  • Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Then, scoop out the flesh of ½ of the avocado into a bowl and mash together with everything bagel seasoning. 
  • Spread avocado mixture onto toast. Then, drizzle with avocado. Top with any other toppings of your choice. 
  • Serve and Enjoy!

It is important to note that avocado offers many wonderful benefits and is incredibly nutritious. It contains potassium, is loaded with heart-healthy fats, and has a lot of fiber. Avocados can even lower your cholesterol. It also helps with skin health and brightens skin complexion. Studies have shown that it can quite possibly prevent cancer.

Only half an avocado is needed for this recipe that serves one person. If you use the whole avocado, it serves two people. However, I simply wanted to make one slice of toast. This recipe takes only takes about five minutes or less to put together.

To begin making this yummy Avocado Toast, first, toast your bread of choice. Multigrain bread is used in this recipe. However, you can use any bread that you like. Pumpernickel brings a unique flavor. So, if you are a pumpernickel fan, then toast up some of that!

Next, mash up half of a ripe avocado and 1 teaspoon of everything bagel seasoning. Mix the two together and spread the mixture on the toast. That’s it!

Afterward, you can top your avocado toast with either a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, sliced radish, sliced onions, slices of red bell pepper, nuts, or whatever other yummy toppings you would like! It’s entirely up to you how you choose to enjoy it.

Are you choosing to eat this with or without toppings? Even if you eat it without any toppings, it is so packed with flavor that you won’t miss a thing! The everyday seasoning does its job well to fully flavor the mashed avocado.

Feel free to enjoy this food and have it as breakfast, lunch, or a snack, it’s filling and it’s flavorful. Keep in mind that as long as you get a ripe avocado, you are in business and your avocado toast will turn out great! Enjoy your quick, easy, and delicious Avocado Toast!
