Watermelon Slushie

Stop what you’re doing right now and make this recipe! These Watermelon Slushies are the drink of the summer. Watermelon Slushies are being served this week and they are oh so delicious.

Just three ingredients are needed to make this yummy, nonalcoholic slushie! Yes, this recipe is nonalcoholic. However, if you want alcohol in your slushie go ahead and make it a four-ingredient recipe by adding a splash of rum. Not everyone in my family drinks alcohol so, I tend to make most of my slushies nonalcoholic for that reason.

This drink just doesn’t disappoint. If you like watermelon, then you’ll love this recipe! The splash of lime juice adds a nice zesty flavor. It’s not overpowering at all. In other words, it doesn’t outshine the true flavor of the watermelon. It simply enhances it.

That’s the nice thing about food. You can use other ingredients to bring out the rest of the ingredients. In addition to watermelon and lime juice, the third ingredient you will need is ice. The recipe calls for 1 cup of ice. If you find that you need more ice, then add just a little bit more at a time until you reach your desired slushie consistency.

To make this recipe, you will need 4 cups of ripe, seedless watermelon that is cut into chunks, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, and 2 cups of ice cubes. Next, to a blender, add all ingredients, and blend until combined. Finally, Serve and Enjoy in glasses with extra watermelon as garnish. That’s it, folks! It’s as easy as that! To make this with alcohol, add 2 ounces of rum and more ice if needed.

This recipe makes enough to serve four. This is a wonderful drink to serve to your party guests. Whether you are having a small or large gathering, be sure to make plenty of this recipe. People will be going back for more and more! Double, or triple the recipe to suit your serving needs. And, don’t worry about it melting if you let it sit too long while chatting with your guests. Once the slushie melts, it turns into a perfectly melted cold watermelon juice! How fantastic! It’s pretty tasty if I can say so myself.

Well, that’s all for today. Hopefully, you enjoy making this recipe and have fun serving it to your family and friends. Until next time! Happy Sipping!
