Green beans are one of the easiest green vegetables to make as a side dish. There are so many different ways to make them. They can be baked, fried, boiled, or seared. This recipe is all about searing. And, with just a handful of ingredients, you can make your green beans flavorful in virtually no time at all.
As a child, I did not care too much for pan-seared green beans. Typically, I preferred to eat them when they were boiled for a long time with a lot of seasoning and broth. However, as I matured and grew up, I embraced a quick pan-seared green bean recipe whenever it came my way. This recipe is one of my go-to recipes and I just love how the flavors of the parmesan and lemon juice work so well together.
So, if you like tangy flavors on your food, then you will for sure love this recipe! In just about 10 minutes or less, you can enjoy these green beans as a side dish to your meal. To get started on making this dish, the ingredients that you will need are 2 pounds of green beans, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, salt, pepper, and ¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese.
To cook these green beans, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Next, add the green beans, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, to taste. Sear them for 10 minutes, being sure to toss them around occasionally. Remove the green beans from the skillet and garnish them with grated parmesan cheese. And, at last, serve and enjoy!
Here are just a few tips for you to follow: First, be sure to wash and trim the green beans, Second, when it comes to the lemon juice you use, keep in mind that fresh is always best! You can even grate a little lemon zest over the seared green beans if you would like an extra boost of lemon. Third, be sure to not use too much salt. However, if you find that you make that mistake, add more lemon juice or even a little water to fix the issue. That’s what I love about this recipe. It is easy to fix and is quite difficult to mess up.
Hopefully, this recipe shows you that green bean recipes do not have to be boring. As long as you flavor them the right way, you will for sure have a winner at your dinner table! Have fun eating these yummy and easy-to-make Lemon Parmesan Green Beans! Happy Cooking!!
