Brown Sugar Bacon is one of the best breakfast foods to make. The raw bacon coated with the sweet brown sugar rub has such a unique and vibrant smell as it’s being prepared. It smells as if it has already been cooked in the oven! So, if it smells that good during the preparation, then there is no doubt that it will be delicious when it is finished cooking.

Unlike having to keep your eye on bacon when you make it on the stove,  this oven bacon does not require much work. You do however have to flip it halfway through the cooking time, but that’s about it. There is not much that you need to do for this recipe because it simply cooks itself in the 400°F/200°C oven.

The bacon alone already has a wonderful smoky flavor. So, the addition of light brown sugar, smoked paprika, and black pepper take it to a whole new level. It’s easy to rub the brown sugar mixture into the bacon with your fingers. As you do, you see the sugar begin to dissolve into the bacon.

This is a pretty fun recipe for newer cooks to learn how to make since it is so easy and only takes 20 minutes. To make this you need 1 pound of bacon (pork or turkey), 1 cup of light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix the brown sugar, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Then, coat the bacon on the mixture. Be sure to use your fingers to press and rub the mixture into the bacon.

Bake at 400°F/200°F for 20 minutes. Flip at the 10-minute mark to ensure even cooking. While the bacon cooks, you’ll be able to smell the brown sugar, smoked paprika, and black pepper working their way into the bacon. Your mouth will be longing to eat a piece. Remove the bacon from the oven after 20 minutes and serve! Enjoy every bite!

If you love bacon, then this is your recipe! I truly hope that you love this Brown Sugar Bacon recipe. Enjoy!
