Sweet Kale, Spinach and Banana Smoothie

Who doesn’t love a good smoothie? I know I do! I can do a smoothie almost every single day. The healthier, the better too! That is the great thing about smoothies. You can get as creative as you wish and can pretty much put anything in your drink, except the kitchen sink. That’s how much you can think outside the box.

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

Directions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until well combined (about 10 seconds).
  • Serve and Enjoy!

I decided to make a Sweet Kale, Spinach and Banana Smoothie! It was Incredibly Healthy and Delicious! It is one of my favorite smoothies to make because it is super easy. It only takes a few minutes to gather my ingredients and pull out my Nutri-Bullet.

I chose to mix kale and spinach together, a cup of unsweetened almond milk, chia seeds, bananas and a teaspoon of raw honey. The honey and banana gave the smoothie just the right amount of sweetness that was needed. I like to use a few cubes of ice because I like my smoothie chilled, without having to wait for it to chill in the refrigerator.

Whenever I make smoothies, I make an extra serving, just to have another one the next day, or as a snack for later, if I want something light. The chia seeds that I added in the Sweet Kale, Spinach and Banana Smoothie was just the healthy dose of energy that I needed. I found out that athletes love chia seeds and it helps them perform better in their sport. Athletes burn a lot of calories during their workouts and games. Chia seeds are a smart choice for the athlete.

Chia Seeds are loaded with fiber. Fiber fills you up and you will find that you are not as hungry as you were before adding chia seeds. Another added benefit? Perhaps if you are looking to shed a few pounds, put a teaspoon of chia seeds in your dishes. Start with making this smoothie first and then experiment with other recipes. I believe you will just love this Sweet Kale, Spinach and Banana Smoothie. I know I do! Enjoy!
