Corn is a food that either you love or you detest. Ever since I was a child I’ve always embraced the taste of corn. I loved and still love everything about it! As a child, I never complained about eating corn on the cob, cornbread, corn pudding, corn ice cream, and of course, Creamed Corn.  So, I just knew that I had to make some and share the recipe with you all.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons 2 unsalted butter

  • 4 cups 4 corn kernels (frozen, canned or fresh)

  • 1 cup 1 whole milk

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper, to taste 

  • 1 tablespoon 1 granulated sugar

Directions

  • To a large skillet, over medium heat, melt butter. Add corn, milk, heavy cream, salt, pepper and sugar. Stir together. 
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer until thickened to your desired consistency. 
  • Remove from the heat. Serve and Enjoy!

This recipe is quick and easy. Making this Easy Creamed Corn requires a only handful of ingredients. One of them is heavy cream. Most people don’t keep heavy cream on hand. So, if you don’t have it, then put it on your shopping list! Trust me when I say that you do not want to miss out on the addition of heavy cream. It is a whole game-changer when it comes to this corn recipe. Now, let’s get to cooking! 

Making this only takes about 15 minutes. The ingredients that you will need to make this recipe are 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 4 cups of corn kernels (can be either frozen, canned, or fresh), 1 cup of whole milk, 1/2 cup of heavy cream, salt, and pepper, to taste and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. You can choose to use either white pepper or black pepper. If you don’t want to see black pepper specks in your corn, then you should opt for white pepper. 

To get started on making this Easy Creamed Corn, take out a large skillet and melt the butter over medium heat. Add the corn, milk, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir everything together. Reduce heat to simmer until thickened to your desired consistency. Remove from the heat. And, Finally, Serve and Enjoy with other sides or main dishes of your choice!

This dish will not disappoint and it will hit your palate just right. Once you get a taste of this dish, you will be able to tell that this Creamed Corn is very creamy, as it should be! It is also chunky, sweet, and salty. It has a slight kick to it due to the pepper and has a wonderful smoothness because of the milk and butter.

The food that you choose to serve this Easy Creamed Corn with is entirely up to you. I love to serve this with either roast chicken, turkey breast, salmon, or steak.
