I loved pasta so much as a child and still do. I just wasn’t too fond of it with tomato sauce. So, my parents did just what they knew best to get me to eat. They served it with butter! Lots and lots of butter to be exact. And, in my mouth and into my stomach it went. I was a very full and happy child! Was it healthy? Not exactly. Delicious? Absolutely! 

If you’re making this pasta dish for children, then they will love it! This recipe makes enough for 4 servings. However, if you’re feeding really hungry people, then be sure to make extra servings. The more the merrier! Right? This recipe is just the perfect buttered pasta! So, let’s get started! It won’t take us long at all. 

Making this dish is truly simple! All you need to make this recipe is fettuccini, butter, salt, and black pepper. To take it up a notch, add a bit of grated Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs right before serving. 

Alright, once your dish is complete, twirl that buttery, seasoned fettuccine around your fork and enjoy! Do you notice just how tasty it is to be so simple? Now, you can make this your go to dish! Eat it by itself or pair it alongside your favorites. I love making grilled salmon or chicken and having that along with some seasoned broccoli rabe and the buttery pasta. Ingredients

  • 2 cups 2 fettuccine

  • 4 tablespoons 4 unsalted butter (½ stick)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

  • Optional: Fresh herbs for serving

Directions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions or until al dente.
  • Drain pasta and add back to pot. Add butter, salt, and black pepper.
  • Serve in bowls or plates. Add grated Parmesan and fresh herbs. Enjoy!
