Healthy Ginger Shot

I cannot think of a better way to give your body a Big Ole’ Dose of an immunity boost, than with a Healthy Ginger Shot. I absolutely love ginger shots. My body has gotten used to me feeding it with a healthy dose every single day.

I used to buy them from the market for a couple of bucks before I discovered I could make them myself and save money in the process. All I needed were three ingredients: fresh ginger, a lemon, and water. And of course, patience to strain the ingredients. That’s it.

I will only buy the market brand if I did not properly prepare this drink for myself in advance. It takes mere minutes and the taste has quite a kick to it. It is zingy and tingly. My throat definitely feels the burn every time I drink my morning shot.

Ginger originated in Southeast Asia. I found out from my trusted friend Google, that although most ginger comes from Southeast Asia, the United States ginger crop is generally grown in Hawaii. Ginger thrives best in warm humid climates. Ginger has a plethora of health benefits.

Ginger is a spice and Google stated, “Ginger is loaded with antioxidants, compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body’s DNA. Ginger may help your body’s DNA. This spice may help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diseases of the lungs. Ginger may even promote healthy aging.”

So essentially, Ginger is packing quite a punch in the healthy department. Health is Wealth and without it, it’s almost impossible to enjoy the fruits of our labor right? I hope that you will make this Healthy Ginger Shot. And, if you get a chance, juice prep. It will definitely save you time and money. Enjoy your Boost of Everything Good!

  1. I am from the West Indies, and I grew up drinking this. Currently I make it for my children and they love it. I especially make it for them if they catch a cold or have an upset stomach. I make a pitcher full, I do add a small amount of honey to it, they drink it the whole day and by the next day they are up moving around again. I give this ten thumbs up.
