Easy Homemade Caramel

Easy Homemade Caramel

This past week, I took a trip to the zoo with my family. I hadn’t been to the zoo in such a long time. It was rather nostalgic being there. Spending the afternoon at the zoo brought back all sorts of wonderful memories!

Upon entering the zoo, I was hit with the pleasant aroma of popcorn, pizza, and caramel. Of course, I had to have a treat while checking out the animals. I just knew that I had to get some kind of caramel food item. I perused the many options and ultimately decided on the caramel popcorn.

I enjoyed my caramel flavor so much that I wanted even more when I got home. So, I decided to make some for the family! I didn’t have any particular caramel treat in mind to make, so I served it with apples and pretzels. It was almost like a charcuterie board. Now that I mention that, this homemade caramel is a wonderful addition to your charcuterie board. Charcuterie boards are all the craze lately. You can serve your caramel sauce in a pretty glass jar along with food to dip.

Making this caramel is extremely easy and equally as fun! Once your caramel is finished, wait only a few minutes for it to cool slightly. Then, grab your favorite foods to dip and dip, dip, dip away!

There’s so much you can do with this caramel sauce. Sandwich it between butter cookies for a delicious sugary treat. Or, you can use it to drizzle on top of a cake. A pumpkin flavored cake would be the perfect compliment to your homemade caramel.

So, what exactly will you be pairing with your delectable homemade caramel sauce? Will you dip apples and sprinkle them with a bit of coarse sea salt, or will you drizzle it over some ice cream? Will you use it in your morning or midday coffee concoction? Or, will you toss some popcorn around in it? As always, however you choose to enjoy this Homemade Caramel recipe, enjoy it to the absolute fullest!
