Baked Cinnamon Granola Stuffed Apples

Baked Cinnamon Granola Stuffed Apples

Baked Cinnamon Granola Stuffed Apples are fun to make! So, be sure to get everyone involved. These apples are made in the air fryer. And, they only take 20 minutes to cook at 350°F. However, if you make this in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, it will take about 45 minutes. The apples truly taste the same whichever way you choose to cook them. The air fryer method is simply quicker. And, I love to cut down on my cooking time. Don’t we all?

To begin making these, core the apples. You can use any type of large apple you would like. To core the apples, do so by cutting a circle around the stem and scooping out the inside. Be sure to not cut through the bottoms. For this recipe, you want the apples to act as a bowl for the mixture that is going inside. To scoop out the core, I use a melon baller. However, if you do not have a melon baller then a metal spoon will do just fine. Use any utensil that works best for you.

Ingredients

  • 2 large 2 apples (any kind)

  • 1 cup 1 plain granola

  • 1 tablespoon 1 brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon 1 ground cinnamon

  • 1 cup 1 water

Directions

  • Wash and core the apples (as pictured) Be sure to not cut through the bottom. Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together granola, melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stuff mixture in apples.
  • Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of the air fryer. Place apples in the air fryer and roast at 350°F for 20 minutes OR in the oven on 350°F for 40 minutes.
  • Remove and serve with whipped cream and cinnamon. Enjoy!!

In a medium-sized bowl, combine some plain granola, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted unsalted butter. Then, stuff the mixture into both apples. Place them in the air fryer and pour about 1 cup of water into the bottom of the air fryer.

To give these apples some type of moisture while they cook, put some water or some apple juice into the bottom of the air fryer. This will help to give them some steam so they don’t burn. Set the air fryer to the roast setting and roast both stuffed apples 20 minutes at 350°F/180°C. After 20 minutes, remove them from the air fryer. Enjoy them with as much whipped cream or Greek yogurt as you would like. Be sure to add more ground cinnamon!

It’s as easy as that! These are so tender that there is no knife needed. A spoon works just fine to slice right through these tender stuffed apples. I hope you enjoy this recipe. I can’t decide if it tastes more like apple pie or breakfast apples. What do you think it tastes more like? Let us know in the comments below! Happy…Air Frying!
