This dish all comes together with 3 pounds of sweet potatoes that are peeled and cut into equal-sized pieces, 2 teaspoons of kosher salt, 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter, ½ cup of milk, and 2 tablespoons of light brown sugar. This combination makes for the most wonderful sweet and savory mixture. And, the texture is unbelievably smooth and silky!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds 3 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into equal sized pieces

  • 2 teaspoons 2 kosher salt

  • 3 tablespoons 3 butter

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 milk

  • 2 tablespoons 2 light brown sugar

Directions

  • Place chopped sweet potatoes in a large pot. Add kosher salt and Cover with water. Bring to a boil for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender when poked with a fork.
  • Drain water and add butter, milk and light brown sugar.
  • Mash with a potato masher or a hand mixer until you reach your desired texture. Serve and Enjoy!

Bring the chopped sweet potatoes to a boil for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are tender when poked with a fork. After 20 minutes, drain the water.
