Easy Garlic Spinach Pasta

Easy Garlic Spinach Pasta

This Easy Garlic Spinach Pasta is truly the most perfect meal to make. If you are in the mood for something light, yet satisfying then try this! I like to make this meal with some pasta, spinach, garlic powder, and ingredients for a light white wine sauce. Use any type of pasta you like. There’s no specific kind that this recipe requires.

To get started, boil your pasta. Be sure to salt the pasta water. This is the only time you can flavor the entirety of the pasta. While the pasta is cooking, saute the baby spinach. This recipe serves 2. The recipe calls for 1 cup of pasta and 2 cups of spinach. I like to add quite a bit of spinach. After cooking the spinach, season it with salt and pepper, to taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pasta, cooked according to package instructions

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cups baby spinach

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1/4 cup white wine

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

  • salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add spinach and cook until wilted to your liking.
  • Next, add butter, white wine, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Finally, add in cooked pasta, toss and serve.

Now, after cooking the spinach, leave it in the skillet. Then, make the white wine butter sauce in the same skillet. Use butter, white wine, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, to taste. It takes only about three to four minutes to make the sauce. After that is finished, put the pasta in the skillet and toss everything together so that the pasta can get evenly coated. Add more butter if you need to do so. Then, plate it and serve!

As you can probably tell, this is an easy recipe to make. You can make this on a whim. It is also such a versatile recipe and can be a side dish or a main dish. To use this as a side dish, pair this pasta with some kind of protein such as salmon or chicken. The combination of white wine, butter, and garlic tastes so good with salmon or chicken.

If you have some white wine leftover, then serve that with the dish. It will be a hit. I follow the golden rule that you should not cook with wine that you would not drink so that is why I made sure to use a quality, white wine that I typically like to drink. Use your white wine of preference.  If you’re cooking with it, you should love to drink it. If you are not a wine drinker, then just pair this dish with your favorite drink. A slice of Italian bread goes well with this dish too! This is an easy and quick dish to make if you find yourself hungry before bedtime. It doesn’t sit on your stomach, but it will fill you up! Enjoy!
