Making these candies requires a few steps and a lot of love. You’ll want to either make your caramel from scratch or, melt the candies with a bit of milk and butter in a skillet like the recipe states.

After melting the caramel, remove it from the heat. Then, add the pecans and toss them around to coat them evenly. Take a spoon and plop the coated pecans into equal-sized scoops on a parchment paper-lined plate or baking sheet. Place the coated pecans in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Once they are set, melt your chocolate melts in the microwave. Then, dip them in chocolate and freeze them for another 15 minutes.

Yes, as stated, this is a little bit of a process. However, it goes by rather quickly and it is worth it! And, once your candies are set, you can enjoy them and share them!

Homemade gifts can often be the best. Package these delicious candies in a pretty box, tie the box with a bow and give it as a gift! Who doesn’t want to eat a delicious treat? Trust me when I say, this will be a palate-pleaser for sure!
