Melted semi-sweet chocolate chunks and coffee grounds combined make for a sweet treat! If you love chocolate and coffee, then this is the recipe for you. You’ve come to the right place! This Chocolate Coffee Bark Candy is fun and easy to make! What makes it delicious is the texture that the ground coffee brings to the smooth, rich chocolate.
Typically, I buy my favorite coffee-infused chocolate bark from my local market. However, it comes in small quantities for a hefty price So, I emBARKed (see what I did there?) on making my own Chocolate Coffee Bark Candy. And, boy am I glad that I did. I was able to make a huge batch and control the measurements of ingredients as I pleased. My family members, who are not coffee lovers like me, were also rather happy with the results.
This recipe serves 8 people. It takes 10 minutes to whip it up and another 1 hour to chill it in the refrigerator. Making this dessert might just make you feel like a coffee and chocolate connoisseur. This recipe calls for 14 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate. Semi-sweet chocolate is simply what I like. You can choose to use any type of chocolate that you and your palate prefer! In addition to chocolate, you’ll need a fourth cup of coconut oil or raw cacao butter and at least 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds.
To get started on making this, line a baking sheet with some parchment paper and set that aside. Next, in a small pan over medium-low heat. Melt the coconut oil or raw cacao butter and chocolate chunks together. Stir it continuously for 10 minutes so that everything becomes cohesive.
Next, stir in the coffee grounds. Then, pour the mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. Spread it out with a spatula to make a nice, even layer. To even it out, give the pan a shake and tap it on the countertop.
Next, place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to harden. The wait time is the hardest part of this recipe. I would be lying if I said I did not sneak a little taste of the coffee ground-infused melted chocolate before popping it in the refrigerator. It is so super creamy and delicious!
After 1 hour, use either a knife or another metal utensil to break it into pieces. Store it away in a container or Ziploc bags. And, it’s as easy as that!
You can serve this to your house guests as a little post-meal treat. They will surely be fascinated to hear just how you made it! And, they might just call you a Chocolate Connoisseur! Maybe they will be asking you when you plan to open your own business! Because this Coffee Chocolate Bark Candy is surely worthy of being sold!
Since the winter holidays are coming up, this is a wonderful gift to make in batches and give away as gifts to family and friends! Have fun with the recipe and enjoy it however you please!
