Brownie Truffles

Brownie Truffles! These cute little desserts are gooey, sweet, and oh, so fudgy! They’re rather robust with chocolate and fudge that having only one of them will satisfy your sweet tooth. Not to mention, they are extremely moist since this recipe calls for a box of fudge brownies.

This recipe is only semi-homemade. And, you just need 2 ingredients: 1 box of fudge brownies and 10 ounces of chocolate chips. Use whatever brand of brownies you prefer. For the chocolate chips, I used semi-sweet. However, if you like milk, dark, or white chocolate, feel free to use that! This recipe leaves quite a bit of room for creativity.

You do not have to feel obligated to use a box mix. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, then certainly feel free to make your brownies entirely from scratch. Making this recipe is also a great way to use up your leftover brownies. Brownies tend to get a bit stale after day three. What a bummer, right? Well, you can use those three-day-old brownies to make this recipe! They certainly do not have to be fresh. Since these are Brownie Truffles, your palate won’t notice the difference.

To make these Brownie Truffles, first, bake the brownies according to the box instructions. Then, crumble up and shape them into equal-sized balls. You can make them any size or shape you like. Place the brownie balls in the freezer to firm up for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips. Line a baking sheet or plate with parchment paper. Remove the brownie balls from the freezer. Dip them in the melted chocolate one at a time. Place them on the parchment paper. Refrigerate the truffles for 15 to 20 minutes to firm up. Finally, remove them from the refrigerator. And, serve and enjoy! There is no need to add any frosting to the brownie crumbs since their fudge already makes it easy to shape them. I used a melon baller to form the balls and finished molding them in my hand.

All in all, this is a fairly easy and fun recipe to make! So, if you are looking to take your dessert up a notch, pick up a box of brownies and make these delicious Brownie Truffles. Enjoy them to the fullest!
